Video shows Delta pilot hit women after Fort Lauderdale-Atlanta flight – Palm Beach Post

The latest viral airline video to circulate the web shows a Delta Air Lines pilot apparently smack one woman during a scuffle between two women at an Atlanta airport following a flight from Fort Lauderdale, according to media sources.

The video of the April 21 fight was first shared by TMZ on Saturday, and has since made the rounds on social media. The women can be seen tussling on the ground of a jet bridge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when a Delta pilot intervenes.

He can be heard saying, “Knock it off.” He then appears to strike one of the women before stepping out of view of the video frame.

The fight occurred after passengers deplaned Flight 1827, from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta, the New York Times reports.

The 1 hour and 35 minute-long flight departed Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International just before 2 p.m. and arrived in Atlanta at about 3:30, according to flight data-website Flight Aware.

Delta officials told the Times in a statement that the pilot was immediately removed from duty following the fight, but has since returned to work.

An investigation revealed that the pilot’s actions “de-escalated an altercation between passengers,” Delta officials told the Times.
