Cecile Richards connects Mother’s Day to ‘women’s health rights’ — there’s just one glaring problem – TheBlaze.com

Planned Parenthood chief Cecile Richards was widely mocked on Twitter Sunday after she used Mother’s Day as an excuse to bash President Donald Trump for attempting to repeal and replace the burdens of Obamacare.

“Nothing says ‘I love you, Mom!’ like standing up for the right of mothers everywhere to get the care they need,” Richards tweeted Sunday.

Her tweet also linked to an op-ed she wrote for Time Magazine on Sunday. In that op-ed, Richards ripped Trump for supporting the passage of the American Health Care Act, which Richards says will strip away the health rights for women and millions of Americans, while simultaneously lying about the truths of the AHCA.

According to Richards, simply being a woman will become a “pre-existing condition” if Republicans repeal Obamacare.

“The fact that mothers reproduce will now be our economic burden. Under this health care plan, being a woman will once again be a pre-existing condition in America,” Richards wrote.

She added that Republicans want to deny women access to adequate birth control.

“Needless to say, the outlook for any woman hoping to avoid unintended pregnancy for the next four years is pretty bleak,” Richards wrote.

Throughout the op-ed, Richards painted a mostly bleak picture, reciting Democratic talking points and mistruths, many of which were debunked by Republican policy leaders earlier this month when the AHCA was initially passed in the House.

So instead of celebrating Mother’s Day, Richards encouraged readers to “commit to fighting” against Trump.

“So this Mother’s Day, instead of taking your mom out to brunch or sending chocolate, commit to fighting for a government that recognizes that women deserve basic human rights and protections — including the right to decide when and whether to become a mom,” Richards wrote.

However, given that Richards leads the number one provider of abortion in America — which prevents women from becoming mothers through the murder of unborn babies — many found Richards’ tweet, op-ed and general sentiment to be off base and lacking self-awareness:

One person was even kind enough to give Richards a bit of advice:
